How does Quora work?

The core tenet of Quora is that anyone with a computer and an internet connection may post a question about anything and receive an answer from anyone in the world.

Quora asked you to choose from a sizable list of subjects to follow when you signed up. These are the questions and answers you’ll encounter while exploring the website; for example, if you follow technology-related topics primarily like I do, you’ll see a lot of questions and answers in this area. You can also follow people, and posts or questions they pose will appear in your Feed as a result.

There are some folks who write a lot. There are some folks who read a lot. Many people fall within both categories. You don’t have to be either/or.

I’ve had a serious Quora addiction for a while now. I often only log in to spend hours scrolling through the Feed and answering questions as I come across them.

You can start actively taking questions by clicking the button on the Answer tab, which notifies all of your followers that you are actively looking for questions to answer, as you answer more questions and gain more followers (followers are people who like what you write or ask enough to want Quora to notify them when you write something).
